ORDER

This Suo Motu case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by this Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.)No.618 of 2025.

2. This case is registered in Crime No.862 of 2020 on 03.07.2020 for alleged offence under Section 12 of Tamil Nadu Gaming Act, 1930 and Section 269 of IPC, 1860. Regarding the allegation that the petitioner and Page No.1 of 3

other accused were playing cards by keeping money as bet. Considering the nature of allegation and the accused are facing the charges since 2020, further continuation of the trial would impinge upon the right to speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose will be served in continuing the case.

3. Accordingly, the case in STC.No.118 of 2022 on the file of Judicial Magistrate, Katpadi, Katpadi Taluk, Vellore, shall stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stands disposed of.
