The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider petitioners representation dated 07.04.2014, with regard to the acquisition of their land and to direct the respondents to comply their lawful demands.

2.The case of the petitioners is that the petitioners land was acquired for the purpose of Sipcot - Cheyyar Industrial Expansion Project and aggrieved by the compensation amount, they made representation to the respondents seeking to enhance the compensation amount and since the same has not yet been considered, has filed this writ petition.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue direction to the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 07.04.2014 in terms of Section 8 of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act and to 2/4

pass appropriate orders, within a reasonable time frame. 4.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 07.04.2014, on merits and in accordance with law and in terms of Section 8 of the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Land for Industrial Purposes Act and pass appropriate orders, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
