For Petitioner : Ms.K.R.Gayathri For Respondents : Mr.E.Sundaram Government Advocate C O M M O N O R D E R The petitioner has filed these writ petitions seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorari calling for records relating to the first respondent's proceedings in Na.Ka.No.22/22/A5, Na.Ka.No.21/22/A5, Na.Ka.No.20/ 22/A5, Na.Ka.No.18/22/A5, Na.Ka.No.19/22/A5 and Na.Ka.No.23/22/ A5 respectively, in Sale Deed Document Nos.9773/2019, 10133/2019, 9774/2019, 10135/2019, 10134/2019 and 10136/2019 respectively, dated 17.06.2019, 24.06.2019, 13.06.2019, 24.06.2019, 24.06.2019 and 24.06.2019 respectively and to quash the same. 2.Since the issue involved in these writ petitions are one and the same, they are heard together and disposed of by way of a common order.

3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner registered the subject sale deeds on the file of the second respondent, however, the first respondent issued notices under Rule 4 of the Tamil Nadu Stamp (Prevention of the Undervaluation of Instruments) Rules, 1968, calling 2/4

upon the petitioner to submit explanation to decide the issue under Section 47 A(3) of the Indian Stamp Act and the petitioner submitted the explanation, however, till date no order was passed. Hence, these writ petitions.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the first respondent suo motu initiated proceedings under Section 47 A of the Indian Stamp Act as against the petitioner and issued Form I notices and further submitted that without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the first respondent to conclude the proceedings initiated under Section 47 A of the Indian Stamp Act, within a reasonable time frame. 5.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to conclude the proceedings initiated under Section 47 A of the Indian Stamp Act and pass appropriate orders after providing opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
