The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Section 395 of IPC in Crime No.390 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The petitioner is A15. It is stated that the petitioner along with the other accused had snatched away the bag from the defacto complainant who was carrying a sum of Rs.30,00,000/- in cash. It is stated that A1, A2, A4, A9, A12 and A13 had been arrested and are still in custody.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner was granted bail in yet another case and had executed sureties and was not in the place of occurrence. He further stated that a false case has been registered against the petitioner herein. 1/2 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

But however, taking into consideration the seriousness of the offence and the fact that other accused are still in custody and further accused are yet to be identified, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner herein. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
