PRAYER Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to give retrospective regularization from the date of his initial appointment i.e. 11.11.2006 and place him in regular time scale of pay and grant him selection grade scale of pay on completion of 10 years of service in the post of cook from 11.11.2016 and fix his pay accordingly on that basis and disburse the monetary benefits thereof all within a limited time frame.

ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to give retrospective regularization to the petitioner from the date of his initial appointment i.e. 11.11.2006 and place him in regular time scale of pay and grant him selection grade scale of pay on completion of 10 years of service in the post of cook from 11.11.2016 and fix his pay accordingly on that basis and disburse the monetary benefits thereof within a limited time frame.
2. Heard Mr.V.Thirupathi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Surendran, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

The petitioner states that he was appointed as Cook in the Government Nandanar Adi-Dravidar Boys Hostel, Chidambram on a consolidated pay of Rs.850/- per month through proper channels and interview, but contends that his services ought to have been regularized from the date of his initial appointment on 11.11.2006, with fixation of pay, declaration of satisfactory completion of probation, and grant of Selection Grade pay from 11.11.2016. Despite subsequent regularization with effect from 25.02.2011 and repeated representations, the petitioner's claim for retrospective regularization and adjustment of pay in accordance with the principles of "equal pay for equal work" has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to move the present writ petition.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would be suffice
if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to consider the case of the petitioner and pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 21.07.2025 on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. In fine, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
