The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue the patta to the property bearing survey No.284/1A, situated 1 / 4
at Door No.5, 1st Street, Vinayagapuram, Thangalkari Road, Mettukuppam, Nerkundram, Chennai 600 107 to an measurement extent of 1200 Sq.ft by considering the petitioner's application dated 19.10.2022.
2. The petitioner has made an application on 19.10.2022 through online to the respondent Tahsildar to issue patta. However, since the said application has so far not been considered, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondent.
4. Learned Special Government Pleader would submit that the application submitted by the petitioner dated 19.10.2022 through online would be taken into account and accordingly the needful would be undertaken by the respondent to survey the land and to pass necessary orders for issuance of patta on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for and having regard to the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order. 2 / 4
"That there shall be a direction to the respondent to act upon on the application submitted by the petitioner dated 19.10.2022 through on-line and do the needful as pleaded therein and pass orders thereon within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
