ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case was registered in Cr.No.249 of 2012 for the alleged offence under Section 294 (b), 324 and 506 (ii) of the I.P.C. The occurrence is said to have taken place on 31.03.2012. It is stated that the defacto-complainant has since died and P.W.2 and P.W.3 are also said to have died by now. It is reported that the accused has been attending the proceedings since 2012. There is no previous or subsequent previous case against the accused. Page No.1 of 3

3.Considering the nature of the allegation, the antecedents of the accused and since the accused has been facing the case since 2012, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served. 4.Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.143 of 2012 of Judicial Magistrate Court, Mettupalayam, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.
