ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.Ramachandran, learned counsel for the petitioner; and, Mr.P.Harish, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 and 2.

2. Encroachment is alleged on the public lane.

3. It is submitted by learned Government Advocate that, as per the record, the alleged lane vests with the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board and the same is not a government land. In that event, the petitioner may approach the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board. If any such application/representation is filed before the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, then the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board shall decide the said application/representation on its own merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to all concerned persons,

preferably within six months from the date of receipt of the application/representation from the petitioner.

4. With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
