Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 3 to invoke their powers under Sections 200, 201 and 204 as well as 215 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayat Act No.21 of 1994 against the fifth respondent Panchayat Union Council, for its disobedience to the directions issued by the third respondent pursuant to his proceedings in Rc.No.1376/99/A5 dated 27.12.1999, and for the failure to implement effectively G.O.Ms.No.298 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 20.11.1996, within a time frame as may be fixed by the Honourable Court. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

ORDER

When the Writ Petition was taken up for hearing on 16.11.2017, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence, the Writ Petition was directed to be listed under the caption 'for dismissal' on 20.11.2017. When the writ petition was listed in the said caption on 20.11.2017, there was representation by the learned counsel for the writ petitioner and at the request of the learned counsel for the respondent, the writ petition was directed to be listed on 24.11.2017, by removing the caption "for dismissal". When the Writ Petition is taken up today (24.11.2017), there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, this Writ Petition is dismissed for default. No costs.
