The petitioner herein is the defacto complainant in Crime No.195 of 2023 has filed this petition seeking alteration of the charges by including offences of forgery.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the cheques were changed to divert the funds of the Drapes and Dreams LLP.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submits that in the course of investigation, the defacto complainant had given only the photo copy of the cheques. Therefore, it is difficult for him to verify the genuineness of the cheques. If it is necessary, steps will be taken to secure the original cheques and the same will be sent for expert opinion and based on the expert opinion, charge will be altered.
