ORDER
This writ petition has been for direction to the third respondent settle the postal life insurance for a sum of Rs.5,00,000/-. 2.
The petitioner's husband had taken a postal life insurance with the third respondent on 11.10.2017 for the policy No.0000001476167 for the sum assured Rs.5,00,000/-. The monthly premium was Rs.2,475/-. While being so, he died due to covid-19 and claim was made under the policy. However, the claim is still pending with the third respondent.

On perusal of the counter affidavit filed by the respondents revealed that since the petitioner's husband died within a period of two years from the date of the policy, and as such, only after conducting enquiry, it will be considered.

In view of the above, the respondents are directed to consider the claim of the petitioner for the demise of her husband due to Covid 19 and, after conducting enquiry, to pass orders on the claim submitted by 2/4
the petitioner to disburse the insured amount within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to produce all the documents of her husband's demise such as death certificate and discharge summary, if any. 5.
With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
