O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash C.C.No.251 of 2013 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Alandur, Kanchipuram District, for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 323, 294 (b) and 506 (ii) of the Indian Penal Code.
2. The charge against the petitioners/accused is that on 27/10/2012, when the defacto complainant along with other press men approached the first petitioner for interview in the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Airport, first petitioner threatened him and pushed the defacto complainant. The second petitioner and other party men gathered in the airport to give a send off to their leader.
3. Heard Mr.V.Balaji, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.R.Kishore Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) for the first respondent and Mr.B.Janakiram, learned counsel for the second respondent.
4. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the defacto complainant has appeared through Virtual hearing and identified by his counsel.
5. An affidavit, dated 4th January 2022, was filed by the defacto complainant, wherein it is stated that he has entered into a compromise with the petitioners and decided to compound the offence. He further stated that he has no objection in allowing this Criminal Original petition.
6. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. C.C.No.251 of 2013, pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Alandur, Kanchipuram District is quashed. Affidavit filed by the defacto complainant shall form part of the records. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
