This application has been filed seeking extension for the succession certificate issued in the instant original petition in favour of the applicant herein to collect the securities and to receive the interest, dividends thereon and to negotiate and transfer the securities specified in the schedule to the original petition. 2.The learned counsel for the applicant would submit that by order dated 27.01.2017, this Court had issued a Succession Certificate in favour of the petitioners in the original petition viz., the applicant/the second petitioner and her mother/the first petitioner. He would further submit that the applicant had examined as PW1 pursuant to the order of this Court dated 08.02.2023 and has marked the Succession Certificate issued by this Court as Ex.A1. The Death Certificate of the first petitioner has been marked as Ex.A.
2 and the Legal Heir Certificate of the deceased first petitioner has been marked as Ex.A.3. 3.Upon considering the reason set out in the affidavit and the evidence adduced in support thereof, being satisfied that sufficient cause is shown, the applicant is entitled to the relief claimed. Consequently, O.P.No.761 of 2016 which was allowed by granting a Succession Certificate to the applicant along with her mother (now deceased) in respect of the securities described in the schedule to the petition is hereby extended as prayed and is granted in favour of the 2nd petitioner alone. Registry is directed to reissue the Succession Certificate in the name of the 2nd petitioner in the Original Petition. 18.04.2023 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.
