ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed, directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 16.07.2025 for the revocation of the orders of suspension passed in Rc.No.A1/1634/2025, dated 24.04.2025.

2. Mr.R.U.Dinesh Raj Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the Respondent.

3. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal today at the admission stage itself.

4. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as Village

Administrative Officer through TNPSC on 22.06.2012 and working at Ariyalur District. While so, a trap was laid by the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department and thereafter FIR has been registered and he was arrested and released on bail on 23.04.2025 and on the same day, the petitioner was placed under suspension on account of pending criminal case. Subsequently, the petitioner has sent a representation to revoke the suspension on 16.07.2025. However, the representation has not been considered till date. Hence, this Writ Petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has been placed under suspension for more than three months and suspension has not been renewed and no orders have been passed in this regard. Charge sheet has also not been framed. Hence, the learned counsel for the petitioner prays for considering his representation dated 16.07.2025 in the light of the decision of the Division Bench of this Court dated 15.03..2022 in W.P.Nos.2165 of 2015 and 21628 of 2018 and also in the light of G.O.Ms.No.81, Human Resources Management (N) Department, dated 04.08.2022.

6. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the

Respondent would submit that the petitioner has been arrested in a trap case and has been in custody for more than 24 hours and that he has been suspended. However, he would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered on merits.

Considering the same, without going into the merits of this case, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 16.07.2025 in the light the decision rendered by the Division Bench of this Court in W.P.Nos.2165 of 2015 and 21628 of 2018, dated 15.03.2022 and also in the light of G.O.Ms.No.81, Human Resources Management (N) Department, dated 04.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
