ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The writ on hand has been instituted to direct the respondents to extend the ordinary leave for 20 days, which was already granted by this Court vide order dated 28.08.2024 in W.P.No.21654 of 2024 without escort to the detenu viz., Mani @ Velumani, S/o. Kumarasamy Gounder, aged about 55 years, convict no.13787, confined at Central Prison, Coimbatore. Heard the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.
We direct the respondents to consider the leave application submitted by the petitioner, take a decision and pass appropriate orders on merits within a period of 28 days from the date of receipt of the leave application from the petitioner.
