ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025.

2. The case, Cr.No.176 of 2022 was registered for an alleged offence under Section 294 (b), 323, 353 and 506 (i) of IPC. The incident occurred on 10.03.2022. The allegation in this case is that there was an altercation between the accused, which created public nuisance. When the police personnel intercepted, the accused persons abused him and attacked. The case is pending from the year 2022. There is no previous or subsequent case as against the accused. Now, it is reported that the 1st accused passed away. Considering the factual matrix, the context of the case, any further continuation of the proceedings would impinge upon the right of the accused for speedy trial. D.BHARATHA CHAKRAVARTHY, J.

3. Accordingly, the proceedings in CC.No.37/2022 on the file of the DISTRICT MUNSIF CUM JUDICIAL MAGISTRATE COURT, Uthiramerur Taluk, Kancheepuram, is quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

08.09.2025 Jer electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
