The prayer in O.A.No.6277 of 1995 is for a Mandamus directing the respondent to appoint the petitioners as Assistants in the Revenue Department without insisting upon the condition to work as Junior Assistant. The said Original Application was filed in the year 1995 and on abolition of the Tribunal, subsequently it was transferred to the file of this Court and renumbered as the present writ petition.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that at this distant point of time, the petitioner has been subsequently promoted and also retired from service.
