The learned counsel for the petitioner had based the writ petition on the provisions of the Coimbatore City Municipality Act, 1981. But however, the Act which now in force is the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act, 1998. The writ petition stands dismissed, however with granting liberty to the writ petitioner to file a writ petition under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act, 1998, if at all the petitioner has nay further grievance. 2.The Writ Petition stands dismissed accordingly.
