Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the second respondent to produce the petitioner's daughter, namely, A.Jaya Arockia Amala Rani @ Jaya, aged 17 years before this Court from the illegal custody of the third respondent and hand over to the petitioner.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH,J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the mother of the detenue seeking a direction to the second respondent to produce her daughter, namely, A.Jaya Arockia Amala Rani @ Jaya, aged 17 years before this Court from the illegal custody of the third respondent and hand over to the petitioner. 1 / 2 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. The detenue is present and so also the petitioner. Admittedly, the detenue has become major as of now. Despite our efforts, the detenue speaks on her stand, since she has married the third respondent.

Thus, we do not find any illegal detention involved. Accordingly, the detenue is set at liberty.

3. In such view of the matter, we are not inclined to keep the matter pending and hence, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed.
