Earlier, this writ petition came up for hearing on 10.07.2017 and the same was posted "for orders" on 21.07.2017. 2.

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he is unable to contact the petitioner and hence, requested time so that he could send a communication to her for getting instructions. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Though this Court granted sufficient time to the counsel for the petitioner for getting instructions, he is not ready with the matter. Moreover, this writ petition is pending from the year 2004 and nearly 13 years have lapsed. Since the petitioner has sought the relief of police protection to safeguard her life from her father, who was making arrangements for her marriage without her consent, much water has flown. 4.

In view of the above, as the petitioner has not evinced interest in this matter, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
