ORDER
The prayer sought for herein is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.12.2020 and pass orders in accordance with law for alteration of the name in the on-line portal of Town Survey Land Register in respect of petitioner's property at No.19-F, Thiruvallur Main Road, Thiru Nagar Main Road comprised in Survey No.6/7, Block No.2, Puliyur Village, Vadapalani, Chennai - 600 026 admeasuring 1940 sq.ft in a time bound manner.

In the certificate of the extract from the Town Survey Land Registration in respect of the property at Survey No.6/7, Block No.2, Puliyur Village, Thiruvallur Main Road, Thiru Nagar issued by the Tahsildar, Egmore - Nungambakkam Taluk, Chennai, instead of the name of the petitioner Dilip Kumar Jain, it has been mentioned as P.N.Varalakshmi, who is unknown to the petitioner. Therefore, according to the petitioner it is a wrong entry made in the Register, therefore, in order to rectify the same and 2/5
correct the Town Survey Register by placing the petitioner's name, the petitioner has given a representation to the first respondent on 23.12.2020. In order to consider the same, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.
3. Heard Mr. S.Ramesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Veluchamy, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

Learned Additional Government Pleader would contend that the said request made by the petitioner dated 23.12.2020 would be enquired into and if any mistake was occurred in making the entry of the petitioner's name in the extract that would be rectified and passed orders on the representation of the petitioner within a time frame on merits, he contended.
5. Considering the said submission made by the learned Government Pleader and having regard to the aforesaid factual matrix, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order: 3/5
That there shall be a direction to the first respondent i.e., Revenue Divisional Officer to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 23.12.2020 and communicate the same to the petitioner within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
