Respondent(s) PRAYER This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of mandamus directing the Respondents herein to forthwith remove the look out circular issued against the petitioners Ramu Panayappan, Holder of Passport No.T 3880056 and Panayappan Sethuraman holder of Passport No.X5762210.

ORDER

This petitioners seek a direction to the respondents to remove the Look Out Circular issued against the petitioners.

2. According to the petitioner, due to a matrimonial dispute, his wife lodged a criminal complaint against them in CC No.118 of 2023 before the XXIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai. Since the parties have compromised, the case was quashed.

3. During the pendency of the criminal case, a Look Out Circular was issued. As the case now stands quashed, the petitioners request cancellation of the circular.

4. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the Look Out Circular against the first petitioner had already been withdrawn on 08.08.2025.

5. As far as the second petitioner is concerned, the proposal for withdrawal has been sent to the competent authority and will be withdrawn within a week.

6. The said submission of the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) is recorded. The respondents are directed to inform the same to the petitioners.
