Thangaraj, aged 57 years, Life Convict Ct.No.7505, now confined at Central Prison-1, Puzhal, Chennai - 66, on ordinary leave for one month.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner, who is the wife of the convict, seeks a direction to the respondents to grant leave to the convict, for her surgery scheduled to be held shortly.

2. As the aforesaid reason is not disputed, we are inclined to direct the respondents to grant thirty days leave to the convict without escort. It has been informed that on the earlier occasion, the convict was permitted to go out of the prison without escort.

3. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of and the respondents are directed to grant thirty days leave to the convict without escort. The convict shall be released at 10.00 a.m. on 29.11.2019 and he shall return back to the prison at 5.00 p.m. on 28.12.2019 subject to the usual conditions that can be imposed. The convict shall report before the Inspector of Police, Kotturpuram Police Station, Chennai daily at 5.30 p.m. during the aforesaid leave period.
