This petition has been filed to extend the time limit fixed by this Court by order dated 02.08.2019 inW.M.P.No.22576 of 2019 in W.P.No.22933 of 2019 for production of citizenship certificate.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the 1st respondent; learned standing counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent; learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the 3rd respondent and learned standing counsel appearing for the 4th respondent. 3.This Court earlier allowed the Writ Petition No.22933 of 2019 filed by the petitioner herein granting 12 weeks time to produce the citizenship certificate and meanwhile, to get admitted in the ESIC Medical College/4th respondent. This order was passed on 02.08.2019. But, the petitioner is unable to get her citizenship certificate within the time prescribed by this Court. Hence, the present Miscellaneous Petition is filed seeking extention of time.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the State Government submits that after making preliminary enquiry on the application of the petitioner, the District Collector has forwarded his recommendation to the State Government on 16.10.2019. On receipt of his recommendation, the Home Department has sought for police clearance which is awaited. Once, the police clearance is obtained, the State Government will forward the papers to the Central Government and the Central Government will inturn process the application and issue citizenship certificate, if the petitioner is found eligible. Further, the learned counsel represents that the said process will take another eight weeks.
5. In such circumstances, the time mentioned in the order passed by this Court on 02.08.2019 is extended by another eight weeks from today. Accordingly, this Writ Miscellaneous Petition is disposed of. No costs.
