ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction, directing the first respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 02.09.2024 and pass orders.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The first petitioner is the Chairman and the second petitioner is the Ward Member of Kodumudi Town Panchayat. There are totally 15 ward members for Kodumudi Town Panchayat, Erode District. The petitioner submitted a representation stating that if any no confidence motion moved as against the petitioner, they may be given an opportunity of hearing. In respect of other ward members, the proceedings have been taken for voting no confidence motion moved by the Executive Officer of Kodumudi Town Panchayat to be held on 01.11.2024.

4. In view of the above, the Executive Officer of Kodumudi Town Panchayat is directed to issue notice to all the ward members and

proceed further on the no confidence motion initiated by other ward members on merits and in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
