ORDER

When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that they are going to give change of vakalat and therefore, they are not in a position to argue the matter today. Be that is it may, upon perusal, the prayer in the writ petition is as follows:

" to issue writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 & 2 to admit the petitioner in M.D (Ayurveda) P.G.Course in any of the seats available in the Institutes of the respondents 3 to 5 for the academic years 2019-2020 under Central Government Nominee (CGN) quota, based on the sponsorship made by the 6th respondent, Government of Tamil Nadu vide its Letter No.22929/IM1-2/2019-1 dated 02.07.2019, by calling the petitioner for counseling for admission in the said course and pass such further or other orders." Since the academic year 2019 - 2020 is over long back, the prayer of the petitioner cannot be considered any longer. Further, in the absence of any interim order in favour of the petitioner, keeping the matter pending for the learned Counsel to give change of vakalat, and thereafter for the newly engaged learned Counsel to appear and argue the matter, will not serve any purpose.
