ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned communication of the 5 th respondent dated 04.06.2025, wherein the petitioner has been directed to pay a sum of Rs.45,35,801/- towards the shortfall calculated for the period from August 2024 to May 2025.

2. Heard Mr.S.Pushpakaran, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.Jaivenkatesh, the learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. It is seen from the record that the petitioner has already submitted a complaint before the Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) and the

same is pending. In the meantime, the service connection has been disconnected. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that complaint given by the petitioner is pending before the CGRF, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to deposit 25% out of total amount and on receipt of the same, there shall be a direction to the 5 th respondent to restore the service connection. This will be without prejudice to the right of the petitioner in the pending complaint before the CGRF. Ultimately, the CGRF is directed to dispose of the complaint in accordance with law as per the Tamil Nadu Electricity Supply Code within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
