ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition to call for the records in C.C.No.1 of 2024 on the file of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Vellore, Vellore District and quash the same.

2. The respondent/Police registered a case against the petitioner based on the complaint filed under Section 199(2) Cr.P.C. for the offence committed under Section 500 IPC. Now, challenging the same, the petitioner has filed the present petition to quash the same.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the people gathered in a place to show protection and support the farmers, in which event, they have uttered certain words unintentionally and however, as directed by this Court in the earlier occasion, the petitioner has also now filed an affidavit tendering unconditional apology.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances and also the petitioner has realised the things that had happened and he has also subsequently come forward to tender unconditional apology, the same is accepted by this Court and a case has also been registered against him in C.C.No.1 of 2024 by invoking Section 528 of BNSS. The petitioner is directed to not to indulge himself or repeat committing such offences in future.

5. With the above observations, this petition is disposed of. Consequently, Crl.M.Ps. are closed.
