This application is taken out for issuing a witness warrant to the Senior Superintendent of Post Office, Chennai North Division, Office of the General Manager Campus, Ethiraj Salai, Egmore, Chennai 600 008.
2. The matter came up earlier on 14.12.2022 and this court thought it fit to adopt an alternative method to secure the presence of the witness rather than coercing him/her with a warrant, therefore, this court required the presence of the Central Government Standing Counsel to take instructions of the court and today Mr.A.R.Sakthivel, appeared along with the witness.
3. The learned counsel submitted that pursuant to the summons issued, a staff of the post office was deputed for appearance, but was denied entry at the gate, as the staff was told that the application was already disposed of. The application was for issuance of summons and the same was ordered and already closed. It is made clear that, those who man the gates to let the witness appear on 03.01.2023. Asr to appear on 03.01.2023, in response to the summons issued to him/her, and he/she shall be allowed admittance into the court premises.
