Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to appoint non-hereditary trustees for the administration of the Arulmigu Veerabadhraswamy Dhoddammal Temple, situated in Poochiyur Village, narasimmanayakkanpalayam, Coimbatore District by inviting applications from eligible members of the Vellikulam sect of the Kurumber Gounder Community and the Vellikulam Sect of the Irular Community and selecting suitable persons from the applicants in accordance with the scheme framed

by the second respondent under Section 64 of the Tamil Nadu HR & CE Act in O.A.No.29/96 B1, dated 08.02.2006 in accordance with law, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The writ petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to appoint nonhereditary trustees for the administration of the Arulmigu Veerabadhraswamy Dhoddammal Temple, situated in Poochiyur Village, narasimmanayakkanpalayam, Coimbatore District by inviting applications from eligible members of the Vellikulam sect of the Kurumber Gounder Community and the Vellikulam Sect of the Irular Community and selecting suitable persons from the applicants in accordance with the scheme framed by the second respondent under Section 64 of the Tamil Nadu HR & CE Act in O.A.No.29/96 B1, dated 08.02.2006 in accordance with law, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a directions to the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation dated 14.10.2024 within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the second respondent will be considered and an appropriate orders will be

passed on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioners representation dated 14.10.2024 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 21.10.2024 To
