The petitioner has filed this Writ petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give free electricity connection to the petitioner's land at S.No.51/2B, Bagalur Village, Hosur Taluk, Krishnagiri District for agricultural purposes by considering y representation dated
21.06.2016.
2. The case of the petitioner that he is an agriculturist and had applied for free electricity connection on 15.10.1984 with the Respondents for the purpose of carrying out agricultural activities in his land and the same was not considered by the Respondents. Even in the year 2003, the petitioner had produced all the requisite documents before the 2nd Respondent but no action was taken by the 2nd Respondent. Subsequently, in the year 2010, on the advice of the 2nd Respondent, the petitioner made a fresh application under Rs.10,000/- scheme for grant of electricity for which no action was taken. Thereafter, in the year 2013, the petitioner once again made a fresh application under Rs.25,000/- scheme on the advice of the 2nd Respondent, for which also no action was taken. Thereafter, the petitioner made a detailed representation on 21.06.2021, however, till date no action has been taken by the 2nd Respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the present Writ Petition is filed before this Court seeking the above relief.
3. Though very many grounds have been raised, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the Respondent to the petitioner's representation dated 21.06.2016 and pass appropriate orders within a particular time frame fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without going into the merits of the case, issues direction to the Respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.06.2016 along with all the relevant documents and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No costs.
