ORDER

This Suo Motu case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.)No.618 of 2025.

2. This case is registered for alleged offences under Sections 294(b) of IPC and Section 7(i)(a) of Criminal Law Amendment Act, 2005. The incident occurred on 05.03.2021. The allegation in this case is that while standing in public the accused was abusing everyone and also causing nuisance. For the Page No.1 of 3

said act, he has been facing trial from 2021.

3. Considering the nature of the allegation that is made and the matter is pending from the year 2021, no useful meaningful trial can be conducted hereafter and that will also impinge upon his right to a speedy trial.

4. Accordingly, the case in STC.No.433 of 2021 of Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Villupuram Taluk, Villupuram stands quashed and this Suo Motu Transfer case is disposed of.

08.09.2025 rap electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
