A.No.220 of 2023 in O.P.No.165 of 2005 SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY, J By order dated 28.09.2020, Application Nos.2198 and 2199 of 2020 to declare the applicant as a major and discharge his mother as guardian were allowed.
2. The applicant states that a sum of Rs.2,51,019/- is lying in a fixed deposit account to the credit of O.P.No.165 of 2005. This application is for release of the said amount.
3. The applicant has enclosed the certificate of funds disclosing that the sum of Rs.2,51,019/- is lying in a fixed deposit account with the Indian Bank, Madras High Court Branch, Chennai-600 104 to the credit of O.P.No.165 of 2005. Since the applicant has been declared a major and released from the guardianship by order dated 28.09.2020, the applicant is entitled to this amount.

4. Accordingly, A.No.220 of 2023 is allowed by directing that the sum of Rs.2,51,019/- lying in a fixed deposit account with the Indian Bank, Madras High Court Branch to the credit of O.P.No.165 of 2005 be released to the applicant along with interest accruals thereon after effecting deductions. The payment instrument shall be issued in the name of the applicant.
