The petitioner who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 08.10.2023 registered by the respondent Police for the offences under Sections 153, 504, 505(1)(b) of IPC and Section 67 of IT Act, 2000, in Crime No.396 of 2023, seeks bail.

2.It is stated that the petitioner is a IT student. He should have understood that he must be more responsible. The petitioner had apparently posted slogans on Facebook raising allegations against the Chief Minister of this State stating that the Chief Minister is responsible for introducing liquor.

3.The petitioner should have done a little research. It would be evident that Tasmac as a company was established much earlier and is only a continuous process of this Government. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that the petitioner has been in custody from 08.10.2023.

5.The learned Government Advocate however stated that though freedom of expression is available to anybody, these are issues raised against the Chief Minister who was not at all connected. It can only set an impression that anybody can tarnish the image of anybody. 6.At this stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
