The petitioner has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd Respondent to consider the petitioner application dated 29.03.2019 and grant Agricultural Electricity Service Connection to his agricultural land in S.F.No.576/2B, Maileripatti, Sithut-Bit II Village, Edapaddi Taluk, Salem District by considering petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2019..

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is having agricultural land wherein a bore well is situated in his property for which the petitioner had approached the Respondents 1 to 3 for grant of Agricultural Electricity service connection on 15.09.2010 through an application and the same was not considered by the Respondents 1 to 3. Such being the case, TATKAL scheme was introduced and the petitioner had applied for availing the said scheme for grant of Agricultural Electricity Service connection to the 2nd Respondent but the same was objected by the 4th Respondent. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation dated 23.10.2019 to the 2nd Respondent, however, till date, no action has been taken on his representation. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed seeking the above relief.

3. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the 2nd Respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2019 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame fixed by this Court

4. The learned counsel on behalf of the Respondents 1 to 3 has no serious objection to the said order being passed and the petitioner' representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed within a particular time frame fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without going into the merits of the case, issues direction to the 2nd Respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2019 and pass appropriate orders after affording opportunity to the 4th Respondent in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No costs.
