ORDER

(1) Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents informed that even though the enquiry was conducted on 24.03.2020, he had received instructions that the Report of the Tahsildar had been received by the 2nd respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer/Land Acquisition Officer, in Kallakurichi, who would be issuing notice to the petitioner and also to the 4th respondent and thereafter, hold an enquiry and pass orders. It had been stated that such orders would be passed within a period of four weeks.

(2) Pendency of the writ petition would only be an obstruction to the 2nd respondent either directly or indirectly from proceeding in an independent mind.

(3) Therefore, I would close the writ petition without passing orders, but, rather direct the 2nd respondent, as aforesaid, issue notice to the petitioner and the 4th respondent and conduct enquiry and pass necessary orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

(4) With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
