ORDER

This Suo Motu case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.)No.618 of 2025. 2.This case is registered in Cr.No.465 of 2006 for the alleged offences under Sections 25 (1) (a) of Arms Act, 1959. The allegation in this case is that the accused had assembled with an intention to threaten the witness Page No.1 of 3

against one of the accused Manikandan. It can be seen that the name of the witness also not specifically mentioned. The occurrence is said to have happened on 12.12.2006. The accused are facing the proceedings till date. 3.Considering the nature of allegations, any further continuation of the proceedings will impinge upon the accused's right to a speedy trial. No useful purpose will be served by keeping the matter pending. 4.Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.64 of 2016 of Judicial Magistrate Court, Vanur, Vanur Taluk, Villupuram, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
