ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruvottriyur and to expedite the proceedings in STC No.284 of 2013.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that before the Court below, the petitioner herein filed a private complaint against the respondent under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act and the same has been taken on file in STC No.284 of 2013. He would further submit that after taking cognizance, so far, the trial has not been completed and as of now, the case has been posted for the cross examination of PW1. In otherwise, both the petitioner and the respondent has appeared for the trial.

3. Considering the aforesaid submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, since the case has been registered in the year 2013, it is appropriate to give a suitable direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruvottriyur to dispose of the same, namely STC 284 of 2013, within a time frame. 4.Accordingly, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tiruvottriyur is directed to dispose of STC No.284 of 2013, as https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
