ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to conduct an investigation in the light of the CCTV footage available at the scene of occurrence, on 13.10.2019.

2. On a perusal of the records it is seen that the accident took place on 13.10.2019, wherein, the petitioner and her two daughters had thrown away from the motor cycle and sustained grievous injuries. Though the respondent registered a case in Crime No.487 of 2019 and found that the opposite vehicle riders are bike racers, they admitted for over speed and paid a fine amount of Rs.3,100/-. Whereas, the petitioner made so many allegations and as such, the respondent did not enquire the matter properly in Crime No.487 of 2019.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that the CCTV footages dated 13.10.2019 are not available, since no CCTV was working on that day.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the Assistance Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Madhavaram is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

directed to conduct a fresh enquiry and also directed to further investigate the case in Crime No.487 of 2019 and to file a final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, the petitioner is also directed to furnish necessary documents and co-operate for the investigation.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
