This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent police to register the FIR based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 26.10.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has deposited an amount of more than Rs.50,00,000/- received from various persons at Aksara Housing Co-operative Society Limited on the assurance that he would give higher interest for the said sum; but, so far they neither returned the amount nor gave the interest; the petitioner had already given a complaint, but so far, no action has been taken; hence the petitioner had sent a representation to the respondent to take action, through post; that was also refused by the respondent.

4. However, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the complaint sent by the petitioner was received by the respondent 2/4

police and it is available on the file of the respondent.

5. In view of the same, the respondent is directed to take up the complaint sent by the petitioner for enquiry and do the needful in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, more preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
