Prayer:- This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to enter the petitioner's change name as Charles Muller including his nominees name as Gracy Helan in his pensionary records and S.B. Account No.0983101023907 of Canara Bank, Chintadaripet Branch, Chennai.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to enter the petitioner's changed name as Charles Muller and to include his wife name as Gracy Helan as nominee in his pensionary records and S.B. Account.

2. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the request of the petitioner has to be considered by the third respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner will be satisfied if a direction is given to the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner.

4. Having regard to the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this Writ Petition and the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation to the third respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such representation submitted by the petitioner, the respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the said representation and communicate the same to the petitioner.

5. With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
