(Made by R. SURESH KUMAR, J.) The prayer sought in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondent Corporation to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.07.2024.

2. The petitioner is a physically disabled person. Therefore, in order to seek permission from the respondent Corporation to have a bunk shop, opposite to Corporation School in G.N.Chetty Road, T.Nagar, Chennai, she has given a representation on 27.03.2024, along with that relevant documents seem to have been annexed. Since the same has not been considered, the petitioner has moved the present writ petition.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed before this Court. 2/4

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation, on instructions, submitted that whether the G.N.Chetty Road at T.Nagar can be declared to be Vending/Non-Vending Zone, can be referred to the Town Vending Committee and at the most within a two weeks' time, a decision would be taken by the Town Vending Committee. Thereafter, the request of the petitioner would be considered and decided on merits and in accordance with law.

In view of the said stand taken by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Corporation, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent Corporation to speed up the decision to be taken by the Town Vending Committee declaring Vending/Non-Vending Zone and thereafter, if the location viz., G.N.Chetty Road at T.Nagar is declared to be a Vending Zone, after getting necessary application from the petitioner, the same can be considered and decided on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of such application.
