The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Section 318(4) of BNS Act, in Crime No. Not Known, on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.
2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submits that C.No.178/DCWPT/VISTOR/2025 has been registered and enquiry is pending. It is further submitted that if the petitioner participate in the enquiry, the police shall not take any coercive steps against him.
3. Taking note of the said submissions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to participate in the enquiry on receipt of summons. On such appearance, the respondent police shall complete the enquiry within a period of 21 days from today and shall not take any coercive steps against the petitioner unless and until any serious cognizable offence is made out.
