ORDER

The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to survey the land of the petitioner pertaining to the 1/4

challan dated 23.08.2021 for the property situate in Nanja Survey No.8/1B, Ward No.A, Block No.1, T.S.No.148, totalling in all 0.46 cents (part) down named as "Seetharama 5th cross street, Plot No.5, measuring an extent of 2655 sq.ft within the Sub-Registration District Ambattur (previously Chengai District/Saidai Taluk) and in the Registration Chennai North.

2. In order to survey the land belongs to the petitioner situated at Ward No.A, Block No.1, T.S.No.148, Seetharama 5th Cross Street, Plot No.5, Ambattur in Survey No.8/1B, the petitioner had given an application on 23.08.2021 along with fee on 23.08.2021 to the respondent. However, till date no survey has been conducted, therefore the petitioner is before this Court by filing the present writ petition.

3. Reiterating the aforesaid Ms.V.Jayalakshmi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks an order of direction by way of mandamus to the respondent to act upon on the application submitted by the petitioner.

4. Heard Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, who on instructions would submit 2/4

that the request of the petitioner based on the application submitted along with fee would be considered and accordingly, action would be taken with regard to the survey of the land of the petitioner after giving notice to the petitioner and other neighbors within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

Having regard to the said submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following order: That there shall be a direction to the respondent to act upon on the application of the petitioner dated 23.08.2021 to survey the land of the petitioner after giving notice to the petitioner as well as the other neighbors and the needful shall be undertaken by the respondent within a period of eight(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
