Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to keep free the 324 dwelling units comprised in Block B2, C and D of Valleeswaran Garden, Raja Annamalaipuram, Chennai-600 028 without any illegal cable TV operations by unlicensed persons, enable the petitioner to provide cable TV connections as per the license/permission issued by the second respondent in his proceeding Se.Mu.Ka.No.891/A/E.A.7/2023, dated 23.08.2024; and to give effect the date of commencement of the license/permission from the day the petitioner could provide cable TV connections based on his representation dated 17.09.2024, within a time as fixed by this Court. ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to keep free 324 dwelling units comprised in Block B2, C and D of Vallesswaran Garden, Raja Annamalaipuram, Chennai 600 028, without any illegal cable TV operations by unlicensed persons and further grant permission to the petitioner to provide cable TV connections for further period 2/6
of six months from the date of removal of illegal cable TV operations by considering his representation dated 17.09.2024.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the second respondent granted permission to him to provide cable TV connections to 70 dwelling units in Valleeswaran Garden. The permission granted to the petitioner has been renewed from time to time, finally the same was renewed on 23.08.2024 and the petitioner was permitted to give cable TV connections for the period from 01.07.2024 to 31.12.2024.

It is the further case of the petitioner that some illegal cable TV operators are permitted to give connections in the very same locality and therefore, the business of the petitioner got affected. Hence, he submitted a representation on 17.09.2024 before the respondents 2 & 3 seeking their intervention in removal of illegal cable connection. The petitioner also sought permission to give cable TV connections for further period of six months and the same has not been considered by the official respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. Ms.K.Indumathy Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 17.09.2024 will be considered, on its own merits, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.09.2024 and pass final order, on its own merits, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
