Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari, calling for the records of the second respondent relating to impugned notice dated 25.04.2022, bearing reference F.No.T-4/SRO/SDE/BGZO/20/2022 and to quash the impugned notice as being illegal and arbitrary, insofar as the petitioner is concerned. O R D E R

The impugned notice of the second respondent bearing reference F.No.T-4/SRO/SDE/BGZO/20/2022 dated 25.04.2022, is put under challenge in the present Writ Petition.

2. Heard Ms.Deepika Murali, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.Ramesh, learned Special Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that she would confine her prayer to the extent that the petitioner may be permitted to file her reply to the show cause notice dated 25.04.2022, within a stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the limited relief now sought for by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, this Court, without going into merits of the case, grants permission to the petitioner to file her reply to the impugned show cause notice dated 25.04.2022, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the second respondent herein / Special Director & Adjudicating Authority, Directorate of Enforcement, Chennai shall proceed the subject issue by following the procedures strictly as contemplated under per the Foreign Exchange Management [Adjudication Proceedings and Appeal) Rules 2000.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also closed. There shall be no orders as to costs.
