This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking protection from the police investigation on the complaint given by Latha. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits 1/4

that a civil dispute between the brother and sister been given criminal colour and under the guise of investigating the complaint, police is harassing the petitioners.

However, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that by getting false legal heir certificate, the property of late Subramanian been grabbed by the petitioner and sold to third party. Therefore, to enquire the complaint, the petitioners were summoned. They appeared on 08.09.2024 and assured the Investigating Officer to produce necessary documents to show the dispute is purely civil in nature, however, the petitioner has not turned up.

In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with direction to the petitioners herein to appear before respondent police. On their appearance, the respondent police shall complete the enquiry and proceed in accordance with law. 23.10.2024 2/4
