Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 3 and 4 to consider the petitioner's complaints, dated 17.03.2024 and 29.07.2024 and thereby, investigate the matter and issue the petitioner Non-Traceable Certificate relating to the misplaced/lost documents, viz., (i) sale deed, dated 16.12.2011 registered as Doc.No.9785/2011 in Book-I on the file of Sub-Registrar, Arani, North Chennai pertaining to the property bearing Plot No.6, measuring an extent of 1200 Sq.Ft., in the lay-out named as 'Nethaji Nagar Phase-II', comprised in Survey Nos.104/6 and 104/7 of No.31, Vengal Village, Thiruvallur Taluk, Thiruvallur District, and (ii) sale deed dated 08.02.2021, registered as Doc.No.
648/2021 on the file of Joint-4 Sub-Registrar, Kancheepuram pertaining to the property bearing Plot No.67, measuring an extent of 640 Sq.Ft., in the layout known as "Sri Sai City", comprised in Survey No.34/3 situated in No.133, Pichivakkam Village, Kancheepuram Taluk, Kancheepuram District. ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed praying to direct the respondents 3 and 4 to consider the petitioner's complaints, dated 17.03.2024 and 29.07.2024 and thereby, investigate the matter and issue the petitioner Non-Traceable Certificate relating to the misplaced/lost documents, viz., (i) sale deed, dated 16.12.2011 registered as Doc.No.9785/2011 in Book-I on the file of Sub-Registrar, Arani, North Chennai pertaining to the property bearing Plot No.6, measuring an extent of 1200 Sq.Ft., in the lay-out named as 'Nethaji Nagar Phase-II', comprised in Survey Nos.104/6 and 104/7 of No.31, Vengal Village, Thiruvallur Taluk, Thiruvallur District, and (ii) sale deed dated 08.02.2021, registered as Doc.No.648/2021 on the file of Joint-4 Sub-Registrar, Kancheepuram pertaining to the property bearing Plot No.67, measuring an extent of 640 Sq.Ft., in the layout known as "Sri Sai City", comprised in Survey No.34/3 situated in No.133, Pichivakkam Village, Kancheepuram Taluk, Kancheepuram District.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner has not furnished the copy of the lost documents.

3. Hence, the petitioner is directed to give a copy of the lost documents before the respondents-Police and on receipt of the same, the respondents-Police is/are directed to consider the petitioner's representations/complaints, dated 17.03.2024 and 29.07.2024 and register a case and investigate the matter and pass appropriate orders within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on merits and in accordance with law, on receipt of a copy of the lost documents.
4. With the above observations/directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
