ORDER
Despite submitting the online application for the issuance of patta on 27.08.2024 in respect of the property comprised in survey Nos. 220/7 and 220/17A, situated at Parapanancheri Village, Ariyalur Taluk, which has not been considered till date, the petitioner is before this Court.
2. The petitioner seeks a transfer of patta on the basis that the property has devolved on her through intestacy and by way of settlement. Considering the fact that the petitioner had submitted an application for mutation of patta, the second respondent is bound to consider and pass orders on the same at the earliest. Though over three months have passed, the petitioner has not even been called for an enquiry.

3. Therefore, a mandamus is issued to the second respondent to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 27.08.2024 for issuance of patta, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
4. With the above observation, this writ petition is allowed. No costs.
