O R D E R

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction directing the Respondent herein to forthwith consider and pass orders on the Representation dated 26.4.2017 submitted by the Petitioner for granting notional promotion to the petitioner to the post of Chief Engineer with effect from the date on which the Petitioner was holding the post of Chief Engineer as Additional Charge i.e. 31.05.2016 by rectifying the defects as mentioned in the Representation dated 26.04.2017.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner made a submission that during the pendency of the writ petition, the Managing Director,Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, passed an order in proceedings dated 19.07.2017 in Lr.No.10034/Estt (per)/A5/2017, rejecting the claim of the petitioner for grant of notional promotion.

3. In view of the above, the writ petitioner is at liberty to challenge the said order in the manner known to law.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. 12.10.2018
